This Salted Caramel Whipped Topping is one of those super simple recipes that you can make in a cinch. You’ll wonder why it isn’t in your fridge all the time ready for a plump strawberry to be dipped in it…or smeared on top
of the Butterfly Wings Cake (page 301) from the THM Cookbook (buy here)
It only has four ingredients, and takes a mere 5 minutes of you time then you’ve got a great snack to go with berries, or the whipped heaven to your favorite muffin in a mug, or a dollop to top your favorite hot drink. It’s a winner big time!
Ingredients:
1 cup Whipping Cream
3 tbsp of Gentle Sweet (buy here) or sweetener of choice (see conversion chart for other sweeteners here)
1/2 tsp Mineral Salt
2 tsp Caramel Extract
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a deep bowl and whisk on high until stiff peaks form.
- NOTE for added richness add 1/2 cup of cream cheese to the bowl before whipping and whip until stiff peaks form.
Chill until serving.

Chrissy I am not familiar with a 35% whipping cream so not to sound stupid but does it say on the carton 35%? I have only seen heavy whipping cream but until THM I had not really ever even noticed that. LOL

Sounds delicious! I have seen several recipes that call for Caramel extract, but can’t find it any of my local stores. Where have you found it?
I’ve found caramel extract at Walmart, Bulk Barn, Superstore and online….I’m in Canada so I don’t know if that helps you.

Hi Sarah, I’ve had this last in my fridge for a couple days brilliantly.
All I can say is WOW! Amazing! I didn’t have gentle sweet so I used 1/3 cup of Swerve Confectioners. Such a yummy recipe. Great job!
