Chrissy’s Easiest Sourdough Recipe Ever.

The easiest sourdough recipe ever! No Joke!

60 grams of active starter (this should be a thick pancake batter consistency bubbly and have grown in size since fed)
330 grams of warm filtered water.
11 grams of Celtic sea salt(fine grind)
500 grams of all purpose flour(I get mine from Costco)

*Mix all the ingredients up in the order I listed above. Mix until shaggy.
*Place in a large bowl and cover with a wet kitchen towel.
*Forget about it for a good 8-9 hours.
*Turn it out on a lightly floured surface to fold and shape. Forget it for an additional 3-5 hours.
*Preheat oven with your Dutch oven inside at 450 degrees for an hour. & At the same time turn your sourdough out again for its final fold and shape. Place your shaped dough on some parchment paper, cover it with a damp, almost dry, towel, and let it set as the oven warms for the hour.
*Place the parchment paper and the dough in your heated Dutch oven & optionally you can chuck in 2 ice cubes under the edges of the parchment paper.
*Cover with lid and bake for 5 mins.
*Take the Dutch oven out after five minutes and score your dough (it’s a cheat that gives me the best ears Every. Single. Time!
*Replace the lid reduce the heat to 425 degrees and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
*Remove lid and bake for an additional 30 mins.
*Take out of the oven and let that baby set for a solid hour before cutting into it. Torture I know…. worth it! 🤤
